Sheryl Lee Ralph Receives Star on Hollywood Walk of Fame

From Broadway's "Dreamgirl" to an iconic TV teacher, Sheryl Lee Ralph has done it all. With decades of memorable performances, she remains deeply purposeful in her work.
On April 16, Ralph received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, reflecting on her legacy:
"I'm not just part of Hollywood's fabric; I'm part of its cemented foundation, surrounded by love and respect," she shared.

Born in Waterbury, Connecticut, Ralph became Rutgers University's youngest female graduate at 19 and landed her first film role a year later in A Piece of the Action.
At the ceremony, Abbott Elementary creator Quinta Brunson praised Ralph’s enduring impact: "To be around her is to witness Hollywood history, grace, and legend. She commands the room and is our star."
Ralph’s commanding stage presence propelled her to Broadway, where she starred in the hit musical Dreamgirlsalongside Jennifer Holliday and Loretta Devine.
